Against the Wilderness
Brother Jhod Kavken is a man is his early 60s. He is a cleric of Abadar in high standing, if not power. He was set to retire from active church business when he heard of a venture to the south, another attempt to pacify the wild expanse of the Stolen Lands. Believing that a strong presence of Abadar would aid in this endeavor, he made inquiries about hiring bodyguards to accompany him south. When he found out a group of soldiers were heading there anyway, he decided to just go along with them.
Like most members of his faith, Jhod thinks civilization and order are the best course through life, and he hopes to bring the explorers around to his mind. He is dismissive of most peasant beliefs, as well as clerics of chaotic deities, although he tries to maintain a polite demeanor, as befits a member of a diverse society.
